Ernest John Green a 25 year old Salesman from Portsmouth enlisted into the Royal Warwickshire Regt numbered 6032 on 29th Jun 1916 before transferring to the 17th Essex Regt numbered 400682 on 1st July 1917. He never made it abroad as he contacted an eye condition that made him unfit to serve and was discharged and awarded a silver war badge number 521293 on 20th Feb 1918. The SWB is only award.
