William Henry Brooks served in WW2 with the Royal Signals as a Warrant Officer and on 20th Nov 1951 he was made a 2nd Lt. He was quickly promoted to Lt in the Short Service Commission in 1952 and Captain on 20th Nov 1957. He retired on 18th Apr 1968.
