Michael Arnold Long from Layton, Blackpool enlisted into the Royal Artillery numbered 90318. His cards show a start date of 19th Mar 1941. He was sent to Africa with the 24th Field Regiment Royal Artillery and fought there and then into Italy via Sciliy, Salerno & Anzio. His card noted 351/88 Field Regiment RA, 137 Field Regiment RA. He attended Leeds Tech as well and notes overseas 21st Dec 1942. Looks like he stayed in the Royal Artillery after the war as transferred to REME on 1st Oct 1951.
